Easter camp 2011 – what a scorcher!

Easter camp has come and gone for another year – and what an 8 days it was – glorious sunshine all week with the only rain coming on Friday evening, unfortunately, meaning our planned end of camp fire was rained off – the first time I haven’t come back smelling of woodsmoke from a scout campsite!!

I hope that everyone has recovered and that you are all still enjoying this fantastic weather. If you want to find out more about what we’ve been up to – the Easter camp daily blog has now had the password removed – just click to the right of this post and see our daily posts that help keep parents informed of the fun we were all having.

For all of you and those that didn’t make it this year, we are already planning next year, the dates will be 6th April 2012 until 14th April 2012 and we will be heading south this time having been west (2009), then to the midlands (2010) and north west this year we thought we’d head in a different direction!!

Many thanks to all the leaders/helpers that helped make such a successful camp – Andy, Tim, David, Tabitha and Sanna. We are in the process of uploading the photos and videos from all the various cameras and these will be on Flickr very soon – some are there already but there are lots more to follow!!

We will be holding a camp reunion meeting where we can share stories about the camp and where this time we will be trailing next years event as we will have got an outline plan by then. The provisional date will be on Saturday 14th May – exact times and details will be sent (once venue confirmed) via email to all scouts and explorers – so even if you didn’t come this time you can get an idea of what you missed and what is planned for next year – maybe you will join us next year for the fun and games!!
