Well done to all those scouts that took part in the hike, sleep out in the cardboard shelter or both this weekend!!
A 15+ mile hike to Richmond Park and back, followed by a couple of hours building a shelter was an arduous task in aid of supporting communities less privileged than ours.
As you can see the shelter was a good size 4 bedroom, detached residence, of (mainly) environmentally friendly material (cardboard) – complete with its own garden!!
Can all those that took part please remember to bring their sponsorship to the next meeting – I will post the total raised once it has all been counted!
Many more photos of the construction and residents are now on Flickr.
