Pantomime Tickets – Sold Out!

All of our tickets to see the Pantomime at Richmond Theatre in January are now sold out. All those who applied for extra tickets for parents and siblings will receive their tickets in the coming week. Information for all other Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who will be attending will also be sent out this week.

Natwest community force – Winners!!!

Great news!!! We have been confirmed as one of the winners in our region and are now in line for the £6,000 award!!!

Many thanks to all of you who voted and got others to vote for us – now to buy the trailer and get the roof repaired!!!

Recent scout camps….

Finally got round to posting some information on the recent camps – Hike camp in late October and Treasure Hunt in London last weekend. Photos are now on Flickr. All of the scouts involved had a great time on both events.

On hike camp aside from achieving their expedition challenge scouts spent time working with knives, log splitters, learning how to set up a

basha and cooked on fires using our new cast iron cookware – meal of the weekend was our steak dinner on Saturday, followed by some seasonal fireworks!!

We had another excellent weekend’s weather to enjoy seeing the sights around London and the British Museum.

Scouts had to solve clues to locations in London, then navigate us there on foot, bus or tube.

We managed to spend less time underground this year and enjoyed the sights of London by using buses or walking.

District Cub Swimming Gala

A team of seven Cubs represented us at the District Swimming Gala. All of them are extremely good swimmers. The whole team were very enthusiastic and supportive of each other. Our Cubs should be very proud of themselves for their positive attitude and for doing their very best.

Remembrance Day Parade 2011

We thank our members and their families for a good turnout for the Remembrance Day Parade and Service. It was satisfying to see so many of you putting into action our promise to think of others before ourselves and to have respect for others by remembering those who have sacrificed their lives for us.
